A couple of years ago, I was drowning in $30,000 of credit card debt. When I thought matters couldn’t get any worse, I lost my job. I knew that I had a serious problem and I became desperate for answers. I decided it was time to somehow pay off the debt and work to get my life back.
After five months of searching, I finally found a job with decent pay but I was spinning my wheels trying to overcome the suddenly high credit card interest rates. It’s funny how they decide to make it harder on you when you’re struggling with the bills and you have a family to support.
I had to learn how to make a money tree at home if I was going to survive. Instead of looking for a second low-paying job, I decided to try my hand at starting my own home business.
I once tried buying pre-made websites from an infomercial I saw about promoting vitamin supplements. But with my limited knowledge of promoting a business, especially when I was hard on cash, that died a quick death.
I tried a number of Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) type businesses but couldn’t afford the expensive product inventory I had to purchase every month while I was still trying to find buyers. I realized later that to be successful in MLM, I had to recruit and train many people under me. Sure some people can do well with this but the truth is the majority of them don’t and end up quitting after losing several thousands of dollars. I was one of them and I was stuck with loads of unsold products. My lack of sales and recruiting experience proved to by my downfall. I just couldn’t train anyone while I was still trying to learn the system myself.
But I couldn’t just give up. That wasn’t an option for me. After looking for other ways to make money at home, it became clear to me that I would have to learn how to make a money tree by first learning how to market a business before trying again.
That’s when I turned to doing research online for any information I could find about running a business. Right away, I found many websites that promoted making tons of easy money online. Of course, that information was available only if I purchased it.
Well, I ended up spending two years and added thousands of dollars to my debt trying to find something online that would show me real ways to make money at home. I started to believe that there was no one out there willing to impart real, useful knowledge to make extra money on the Internet even if I had to pay for it. I considered dropping the idea of achieving online success because I began to believe that only the rich and super-smart could succeed in this marketplace.
That’s what I believed until I bought an e-Book about something called Affiliate Marketing. Even though online affiliate marketing has been around for years, it was a new concept to me. I was able to collect more information about it and I found it very appealing.
Start-up costs were so low that anyone as broke as I was could still do it. In fact, many successful affiliate marketers were in the same desperate situation I was but they learned how to make a money tree and managed to become Financially Independent, even wealthy. In other words, They Didn’t Have To Work For Anyone Ever Again!
Can you imagine yourself not having to answer to a boss anymore? Just thinking about telling my boss “Your Fired!” causes me to grin from ear to ear. We could be our own boss and design our lives exactly the way we want it.
During my long quest for online riches, I’ve managed to find a few gems that made it possible for me to start building my fortune. This information that helped start my first businesses is real and legitimate.
I like to call these gems, “How To Make Money Tree Businesses“. Once you establish one of these businesses, it continues to make money for you with very little maintenance. This is what’s known as Passive or Residual Income. It’s just like earning royalties for many years after writing a popular book or pop song. You just do the work once and you’ll continue to earn while you sleep, go on vacation, and so on. You get the idea. This is an important key to creating financial wealth.

But it really is true that most successful people became successful not because they were born smart but because they became smart by failing many times and never giving up.
